আমাদের বিদ্যালয়ের ইতিহাস ও আদর্শ
১৯৩০ সালে বিদ্যালয়ের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা মাননীয় ৺যোগেশচন্দ্র দাশগুপ্ত মহাশয়ের হাত ধরে এই বিদ্যালয়ের পথ চলা শুরু। তারপর থেকে সময়-সারণী বেয়ে কত ছাত্রীর সমাগম ঘটেছে এই বিদ্যালয় প্রাঙ্গণে। তাদের মধ্যে অনেকেই আজ তাদের স্বীয় কৃতিত্বে ও প্রতিভায় দেশে বিদেশে বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে সুপ্রতিষ্ঠিত। তারাই গড়েছে আজকের এই বিদ্যালয়ের গৌরবোজ্জ্বল ইতিহাস। প্রায় শতবর্ষে পদার্পণরত এই বিদ্যালয় একদিন মুখরিত ছিল তাদের কলকাকলিতে। সময়ের ধারা বেয়ে আজও ১৭৮০ ছাত্রীর কলতানে তা একই ভাবে মুখরিত।
বিদ্যালয়ে ষষ্ঠ থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণি পর্যন্ত পাঠদান করা হয় বাংলা ও ইংরেজি মাধ্যমে। উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক বিভাগে কলা, বাণিজ্য, বিজ্ঞান তিনটি শাখাই বিদ্যমান। এছাড়াও উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক স্তরে বিদ্যালয়ে সমান্তরাল ভাবে কারিগরি শিক্ষা বিভাগ আছে। সেখানে ছাত্রীদের কারিগরি বিদ্যায় প্রশিক্ষিত করা হয়। পাশাপাশি উৎকর্ষ বাংলার স্কিল ডেভেলপমেন্ট কোর্স করানো হয় (DTP)।
ছাত্রীরা যাতে প্রকৃত শিক্ষা লাভ করে, তাদের অন্তরের সুপ্ত প্রতিভার বিকাশ ঘটে, নৈতিকতা, মূল্যবোধ ও ব্যবহারিক জ্ঞানের মাধ্যমে জীবনকে সুন্দর ও সমাজের কল্যাণে নিজেদের ব্রতী করতে পারে; সেই লক্ষ্যেই শিক্ষা প্রদান করা হয়। এছাড়া বিভিন্ন সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানে ছাত্রীরা সক্রিয়ভাবে অংশগ্রহণ করে। খেলাধুলা, ক্যারাটে, যে যেটাতে উৎসাহী তাতেই তাকে উৎসাহ প্রদান করা হয়, যাতে তাদের সামগ্রিক বিকাশ ঘটে।
